Our adventure starts in Iquitos city after a short ride on our equipped buses on the way to our ship. Today, we will have our first excursion in one of the Amazon’s tributaries to see the wonderful tropical forest.
In the Atlantic Ocean, at 2400 miles of the mouth of the wonderful Amazon is the beginning of itself, we will explore this area in silent boats surrounded by pink and grey dolphins. We will visit the local towns and in the evening we will go trekking to the suspended bridges. At night, we will take part of a health ceremony held by the Jibaro Shaman; it will complete our experience in the jungle.
Today, we will have the opportunity to see one of the most important tributaries that crosses the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, feeling the energy of the biggest rainforest of the world. We will discover here why it is known as the “Jungle of the Mirrors”. We will be able to see the wide diversity of birds such as herons, macaw and toucan, group of capuchino monkey, iguana, sloths, etc. adorning the top of the trees
After breakfast, our trip end and we arrive to the Iquitos city to go to the airport to go back to Lima.
This itinerary may vary depending on the weather and seasons that control the water level in the rivers and the wild life cycle to protect its natural habitat. Visits to the local villages are carefully planned to avoid a negative impact in their cultural identity.
