Amazon Natural Park

Our Amazon Natural Park is a protected area owned by Jungle Expeditions. It’s at the right hand of Marañon River, adjacent to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. It is an area classified as primary forest of terra firme which does not get flooded in rainy season. It has unique ecosystems, besides a very varied beauty landscaper, ideal for the tourist development interested in the observation of wildlife.

With the help of biologists, scientists, experts and the adjacent local communities, It has been possible to build an area within the park that has roads and bridges to be able to explore all the habitat.

“The Marañon Suites” are on the shore, a large rustic style house which is the center of the resort; some of the attractiveness that surround the large house are a swimming pool, a square, the Enchanted Lake and the Tahuampa Lake, where passengers will be able to enjoy activities like swimming, canoeing, fishing, animal sightings or simply to enjoy a colorful landscape.

Thanks to an agreement with Jungle Expeditions Company, a Jibaro-Ashual shaman lives inside the Amazon Natural Park using medicinal plants of the zone, and with the aid of the spirits of the plants and the animals, he gives natural-medicinal assistance to many people of the zone. Some times this shaman will be able to involve passengers in a health and good luck ceremony.

In the future, in our effort to protect the environment, we hoped to be able to make this area our main base.
